kitchenAid Artisan Mixer

Off topic I know but what is it with the prices of KitchenAid mixers?

Prices shown in Euros:

Someone tell me that I've got it all wrong and that I'm choosing the wrong models (I looked up KitchenAid Artisan).

Does anyone have any ideas of how to get one of these closer to the US price without buying the US model and having to get a transformer.
